Reformer Pilates for beginners in Dublin: what your first class is like

The short answer: your first class is fifty minutes, with ten people at most, in our beginner level, White. You don't need any Pilates experience, and your instructor shows you how the Reformer works before you start.
What the Reformer is
The Reformer is a sliding carriage on springs. The springs add resistance, so you build strength and control without any impact. It looks more complicated than it is. By the end of the class, you'll have the hang of it.
What happens in your first class
Your instructor starts with the machine: how to set the springs, where your feet and hands go, and how to move safely. Then you work through the foundations, which are breath, alignment and core. You'll go at your own pace. Nobody expects you to keep up.
What to bring
Grippy socks, so your feet stay steady on the footbar and carriage. You can pick up a pair at the studio. Wear something fitted that you can move in.
Why small classes matter for beginners
With ten people at most, your instructor can see you, correct you and adjust the exercise to your body. That's hard to get in a bigger room.
