In a world that moves fast, it’s easy to forget the basics. The small, everyday things that actually lift our mood and help us feel more grounded. At Tunu Space, we often talk about strength, breath, and movement. But at the heart of it all is this: we want you to feel good in your body, and in your life.
Here are 5 simple (and surprisingly powerful) selfcare things you can do to feel a little happier today.
1. Move Your Body, Even a Little
You don’t need to run a marathon. A walk around the block, a few stretches, or 10 minutes on the Reformer can shift your state completely.
Movement releases endorphins, supports circulation, and reduces tension, especially the kind that builds up in the shoulders, hips, and jaw.
Try this: Set a timer and move for just 10 minutes. It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to happen.
2. Drink Water Before You Reach for Coffee
Hydration affects mood, focus, and energy levels more than most people realise. Even mild dehydration can leave you feeling foggy or irritable.
Small change, big impact: Start your day with a glass of water before your first coffee. Your brain (and body) will thank you.
3. Breathe Like You Mean It
Deep, intentional breathing can calm the nervous system in under a minute. It’s one of the fastest ways to bring yourself back into the present moment.
Try this: Inhale through your nose for 4 counts, exhale slowly for 6. Do this 5 times. Notice how your body softens.
4. Talk to Someone You Like
Human connection is a core ingredient of happiness. It doesn’t have to be a deep conversation. Even a quick check-in with someone who “gets you” can boost your mood.
Challenge: Text a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while. Or tell someone something you appreciate about them.
5. Do One Thing Slowly
We’re used to multitasking. But doing even one thing slowly, like making tea, folding laundry, or brushing your teeth, can bring surprising peace.
Why it works: Slowing down helps signal safety to the brain. When we feel safe, we feel happier.
It’s Not About Doing More for SelfCare. It’s About Doing Less, On Purpose.
You don’t need a big lifestyle overhaul to feel better. Often, it’s the smallest shifts that make the biggest difference. At Tunu Space, we believe wellness should be simple, accessible, and kind, to your body and your mind.
