When Sarah first walked into Tunu Space Pilates in Rathmines, she couldn't touch her toes. Six months later, she's helping newer members feel welcome in what she calls "the most supportive fitness space in Dublin."

That's the magic happening daily at this intimate Reformer Pilates studio in Dublin 6. Located on Blackberry Lane, Tunu Space isn't just another gym – it's where transformation stories unfold, one class at a time.

Growth and Progression

The Journey Most Members Take

Week 1-4: Finding Your Foundation Most beginners start in White Level classes, learning to breathe properly and trust the Reformer equipment. "I was terrified of those springs," laughs Emma, now a Blue Level regular. "The instructors made me feel safe to be completely new."

Month 2-3: Building Confidence As members progress to Green Level, something shifts. The movements that once felt impossible become second nature. Core strength builds quietly but powerfully. "You're not here to impress, compete, or perform. You're here to grow," reflects the studio's philosophy perfectly.

Month 4-6: Real Changes This is when members notice the biggest changes. Better posture at work. Carrying groceries without back pain. Sleeping better. "My physiotherapist asked what I'd been doing differently," says Michael, who started attending for chronic back issues.

Month 6+: Becoming Part of the Community Long-term members often describe Tunu Space as their "happy place." With classes capped at 10 people, genuine friendships form. Members check in on each other, celebrate progressions together, and create accountability without pressure.

Why the Small Group Model Works

Unlike crowded gym classes, Tunu Space's semi-personal training approach means instructors know everyone's story. With classes capped at 10 people (expanding from 8 this September), they remember that John's shoulder needs modifications, that Lisa is working toward her first full push-up, and that Patricia is preparing for a hiking trip.

The progression system – from beginner White Level through to advanced Black Level – gives members clear goals without making anyone feel rushed. Some stay happily in Green Level for years. Others race through to Cardio Sculpt classes. Both journeys are celebrated equally.

Your Story Starts at Tunu Space

"Tunu" means "treat" in Swahili, and that's exactly what members give themselves – the treat of showing up consistently for their own growth.

Ready to start your own transformation story? Tunu Space Pilates welcomes all levels at 1 Blackberry Lane, serving Rathmines, Ranelagh, Harold's Cross, and surrounding Dublin 6 areas.

Because the best stories always begin with that first brave step through the door!
